Presumably 78 transfers from c.1950 (Decca's PU certainly used for ACL2): the Mozart sounds cleaner - this ACL66 matrix also used for ECM518 (1969). Much editing required (bad joins, clicks, etc) ...thus superior to CD issue... ACL sleeves / sleeve-notes >>>
